I know a lot of poeple take an interest in this, but particularly the Gay people of San Francisco have a special concern, so here goes: If you have been following the news, you would know that last night a man who murdered a mayor and a councilman in their offices, in daylight, in cold blood, if being released on parole after serving in proson for only 5 years. I don't think this day should pass without registering some sort of protest. I don't know how anybody else feels about this, but frankly I'm mad as hell. I don't ordinarily get upset by the news and I usually ignore current events (basically lazy), but this issue has me very angry. I like to think I would feel the same way if it had been another murderer and other victims. There are a lot of issues to be raised here and volumes to be said, but all I want to say is the American judicial system (what's left of it) just went down another notch in credibility with the people it is SUPPOSED to represent and protect.
