Spoiler question about Silkwood:  Do you think that Streep's character
was supposed to be having "relations" (as it were) with Cher's?  I got
the strong impression that she was but the movie was scared to come out
and say or show it (so as not to offend...?).

I don't believe this! The question is similar to the stink that started
on campus when "Midnight Express" came out: "Was Billy gay --- he was
playing around with that blond prisoner"

I don't think that Streep's character was having relations with Cher's
character, and I don't think that Streep was having relations with Cher.
