I don't know who wrote Batman's Theme, and I don't even know who the original
performer and recorder of the song was.  But I do know the person responsible
for recording the modst popular version was a guy named Neil Hefti (sp) and
his orchestra.  This was the version used in the Batman TV series from the
mid 60's.  It was even a top 40 hit put out by this guy on RCA records.  It
was one of my favorite records when I was 12, easy to sing too.  Another
popular version of this song was done by "Jan and Dean" around the same time.
