Apart from that he's perfectly alright." - apologies to Monty Python Heaven 17, which has TWO ex-Human League members (Ian Marsh, Martyn Ware) along with Glen Gregory, has TWO albums out (Penthouse and Pavement, The Luxury Gap). Heaven 17 is a "division" of the British Electric Foundation (B.E.F.) which is the "corporate name" for Marsh/Ware/Gregory as producers, and for riskier ventures. B.E.F. produced "Music of Quality and Distinction, Vol. 1" which is a collection of redone oldies, including "These Boots are Made for Walking", "Wichita Lineman" (my favourite-- very good) and "Ball of Confusion" (Tina Turner does vocals). B.E.F. also wrote and produced "Music For Listening To" which is instrumental electronic music, ranging from funk to experimental. I think Heaven 17 has had one hit, "We Don't Need This Fascist Groove Thang", which was released in late '80, just as Reagan was coming to power, and, well, comments on the prospects. p. rowley, U.
