Although I think Yes put out some insipid tripe in some of their earlier albums (along with some masterpieces, too), I never once lost respect for their originality. Even if I didn't like a particular work, I always appreciated it because it was different. This band had a comparitively miniscule audience which proves that they almost NEVER pandered to the desires of their audience. But what about this new album? Is there any doubt that they have sold their souls to the pop music spirit?? I guess I'd rather see Yes have a hit single than other groups, but I still can't help being disappointed.
