My feeling is that Talk Talk
sounds most like is Duran Duran (how fitting!), except
that Talk Talk is much better.

I'd be wary about comparing bands to Duran Duran.  Afterall, they're the
new Beatles, the Fab Five... (is a sideways smile really necessary?) And
if they're n times better than Duran Duran, remember the rule about n * 0 ...
