I have not seen *one thing* from net.announce at abnjh, ever. If there is really such little activity, what is the purpose of keeping it? If other sites have ever seen anything on net.announce, please let me know by mail. Perhaps we can set up a one-newsgroup news link so abnjh can get the good word. Mark? Are you listening? I think moderated newsgroups are a great idea, if we can get them up and running. But I would like to hear more about how they are supposed to work. For example, what keeps rifraff from posting to them? (Can we rely on people to follow etiquette here?) What *is* the accepted way of getting something posted (assuming the moderator thinks it is worth posting)? Does one send mail to the moderator, or does one post to a related 'net.' newsgroup and hope that the moderator picks it up and reposts it? Or what? Rick Thomas ihnp4!abnjh!usenet or ihnp4!abnji!rbt
