Just for the record, I am totally opposed to splitting the net.
Sites have full control right now over what they wish to receive,
but at least they must make their decisions on a group by group 
basis.  A wholesale splitting of the network would allow for
largescale "discrimination" against entire classes of groups
without even cursory consideration being given to those groups.

Such a network split could well be a first step toward the eventual
undermining of the cooperative spirit on which the entire network depends.
