I don't believe net.movies.sw is dead yet, there has recently been a fair amount of activity. Unless there's some pressing need to go hacking groups they instant they take a breather, I suggest we leave it alone until it stays inactive for, say, a month or more. I agree that the interest in drwho seems to be waning, but that may be merely out of consideration by the drwho fans, waiting for their own group. How about a net.news.groups.vote, or something similar, where people could submit yes/no votes, and when the count reached some specified value (20 more yes votes than no, say), someone could create the group. With a bit of cleverness, this could be automated. I realize the name is too long for obsolete software, but something will have to be done about the 14-char limit eventually. Perhaps we could make it net.news.poll? Clearly we need to develop a standard policy to combat this anarchy (you can see how short a time I've been on the net:-) "And what about net.sf-lovers.lost_in_space?-)" Carl ..!ctvax!uokvax!rigney P.S. If there are gatewaying problems with ARPA over net.sflovers, would it be easier to have net.tv.drwho?
