I am also interested in the TI TMS320; I am not sure that this is the
best signal processing chip, though, and would like to include other
signal processors, such as Fujitsu's and Hitachi's, in the same
newsgroup.

I would suggest net.sigproc instead of something like
net.micro.sigproc, because of the substantial difference in
architecture betweem integrated signal processors and standard (gag me
with an 8080) microprocessors.
