Could we please use this mailing list to discuss issues that the
majority of working physicists would at least agree pertain to
physics?

Let me suggest a topic:  Mandelbrot's work on fractals and its
applicability to critical-point phenomena.  To my mind this is
much more interesting than the religious arguments that have
been cluttering this list recently.
