(I hope that's the correct phrasing I used). Mondale is now asking "Are you safer today?", in an obvious attempt to paint Reagan as a war-monger. In view of the conflicting stories about economic recovery, along with increas- ing union "givebacks" and the hunger/homeless controversy, I would like to add another variation... "WHO is better off today?" dennis
