The fact that the germans had been developping their own nuclear bomb during WW2 had nothing to do with the bombing of Hiroshima (except that the bomb used on Hiroshima was a product of the bomb-building race between the germans and the US) as Germany had already capitulated when the US dropped their bomb on Hiroshima. Does anybody know more about the development of nuclear arms in Germany, how far they did get before it was stopped?
