Yes, we did contract to buy Macs and Lisas from Apple at a substantial discount. We did not hand out specs to anyone and only those very high up in the decision making got to deal directly with the facts. I worked in the office that handles the distribution of information and support for micro computers at Kiewit and we knew very little of what was going on save that it looked like it was going to be the Mac. We did *not* get specs, hands on experience, or anything else of that nature. So I tend to agree with the origional statement: Apple backed off into secrecy.
