I would not start off with the line "Hello, I like you. Will you go out with me?" I would start off with a cheery "Hello" as we passed in the hall though. You will find that almost everyone will respond. Most people will just repeat your greeting. They won't know why they repeat, or why you said hello to them in the first place, and this will cause them to think a little. With luck eventually they will greet you first, then you are definitely getting somewhere. From that point I can't offer any particular help, as I don't always do well after that. But, generally it boils down to find some reason to talk to her (or him). Most people enjoy good conversation and if you can provide some you will have their interest. Rich
