I would say that, in general, one should avoid doing what Steven did, which is to argue, rather bellicosely, in a women's forum, that clitorectomies are no worse than circumcision, and that these clitorectomies are justifiable as tribal rituals for three reasons: 1. Men have to submit to circumcision-like rituals; 2. A clitorectomy won't wash off like war paint does; 3. Women don't need clitorises anyway. If anybody wants to see Steve's article in its entirety, I will cheerfully send you a copy. As to my opinion of it, let's just say that I will frisk Steven for bone knives before I introduce him to anybody I might be dating.
