I have dated some VERY interesting people, whom I would never have gotten to know so well, otherwise. The variety of the world never ceases to amaze me. I don't know what you mean by "too late". I usually snap out of it after about 2 months. Oh but those lovely, giddy, hazy days before I see clearly are worth the miserable week of wiggling out of the relationship. I have made a lot of friends this way.
