They removed the Gas Tax tables (by state) from the 1040 form book. All other taxes are not deductable, such as inheritence tax, but most are. These things are evaluated by computer first to see how your deductions in each of the major categories (taxes, interets, medical, charity, business loss, etc.) fit into the census profile you fit into (marital status, age, gross income, occupation, opinion on wombats, etc.). If your deductions in each of these categories is within the "normal" range for your census group, you can get away with anything! Just don't be a pig about it so the silicon snoop doesn't find you.
