One is "Family ties". It has all the makings of a very silly TV show. The ever-loving parents, the wise guy (gal?) 10-year-old daughter, and the 15-year-old daughter and the 18-year-old son who are always fighting. Although the show typically exaggerates everything, it does not get out hand. Alex's behavior sometimes gets close to being absurd, but they always manage to keep it interesting. This season they have tried toying with controversial issues, such as divorce, sex, extra-marital affairs, etc. I think their treatment of these issues was tasteful. What do you think? The other show is "Oh Madeline". It comes on ABC on Tuesday nights right after Happy days and Three's Company. So, you can expect a very dumb show for the audience of the ealiear programs. But surprisingly Oh Madeline is well-written and well acted. I like it. I do not know how popular it is, so let see what the Net thinks about it. H. Reza Taheri ...!ihnp4!ihuxb!reza (312)-979-1040
