Sorry, Dave (and person trying to protect his software).  All VAXen
do have a CPU SID that you can get at via the MFPR.  However,
only the 780's try to encode some part of the serial number in
the SID register.  The 750, 730 and such indicate more useful things
like microcode revision levels, etc.
