When I need some cheap luxury, I head for the local discount liquor store and get some Clos St. Anthony Champagne. It's a Charmat bulk process sparkling wine, but it's $3.97 a bottle, and it tastes like it's worth at least $8. It's also a very popular wine, so the store is often out. I'd like to try other cheap sparkling wines, but I'm afraid to risk my precious pennies. Any suggestions? I don't like Freixante (sp?) or Andre - I want something that tastes like French Champagne! (Dream on...)
