I too was outraged over the lawyer's attitudes. He also said something to the effect "Well, the victim didn't seem too affected by it. She was very well adjusted." Aaarrrgghh!!! Should she have come into court looking like a wild-eyed, disheveled manic-depressive? I guess crime is OK if the victim subsequently SEEMS well adjusted.
