Ruth, I'm not sure how it could be achieved, but I would sure like to
see a place on the net where feminism could be discussed without hearing
about circumcision or about how "rape isn't so bad".

If you think net.feminism is the way, then let's hear from some other
people. We want to get a lot of votes before we form another newsgroup.

Maybe in exchange we could nuke net.women.only, which doesn't seem to
be working out. Besides, I'd like to participate and I can't do that in
net.women.only.

Let's not forget that even a subject like vegetarianism was first met
with articles like "the morality of vegetarianism?" in which someone tried
to plea for the lives of innocent, possibly feeling plants. Really!
So don't expect it to be everything you want at first, but perhaps like
net.motss the hecklers will quickly get bored and leave.
