If you FTP the file "micro:mdm724.msg" you can read a brief version of the update history. No, this is not the promised "super version". That is being done by Ron Fowler. In my opinion, there is no reason for you to switch from MDM712 unless you can benefit from the particular enhancements that have been added since that version. These deal mainly with autodial applications, but there is also a change in the way memory is allocated to receiving buffers. Some folks were having trouble with the 16K file-transfer buffer taking too long to be written to disk, and they needed a smaller buffer. Dave
