Lines: 28 A few days ago, I half-jokingly proposed 'net.auto.sport' to take the discussion of the more fun aspects of motoring into another group. I think that net.auto.sport is a good name for the group, rather than net.rec.sport (which is more than a little ambiguous), or even net.rec.auto or net.sport.auto. net.auto.sport is a logical name, as it envisioned as a subset of all possible net.auto topics. The response so far has been suprisingly vocal (in favor) and large (9 responses), considering I only casually mentioned the new group in response to someone else's proposal for a BMW news group. The charter of this new group would be to provide a forum for the discussion of sports cars, exotic cars racing, rallying, etc., including, perhaps, high-tech news from around the globe (but not a high-tech fix for a cracked exhaust). Also, discussions about traffic laws, car ads, problems, etc. should remain in net.auto. I myself subscribe to several automotive periodicals, including as AutoWeek and Road & Track, both of which provide excellent source material for new car info, etc. Well troops, lets hear from you. I will post the results of this survey in a couple of weeks, both here and in net.newsgroup. Roger Webster ucbvax!trwrb!felix!roger
