Re-reading my submission "Re T C Wheeler on abortion", I see it could be
misinterpreted.  While I agree that it IS lazy to simply tell a pregnant
16 year old to get an abortion without considering any of the alternatives,
I still feel that it is her right to proceed with an abortion if she so
chooses.  It is up to those who would have her do otherwise to honestly
and openly show her the alternatives, which I think should include the
maintaining of an ongoing relationship between a natural mother and an
adopting family.

Re-reading T C Wheeler's submission, I note that his mention of the impact
of a birth on one's opinions is well taken, except that he confuses pro-
choice with pro-abortion.  The pro-choice attitude asks that alternatives
be considered, and that a choice be made.  Operating under this regime
requires more thought than following the dictates of pro-life groups:  one
has to make an individual decision.  Is this perhaps the less "lazy"
attitude that Mr. Wheeler seeks?
