The April issue of Sky and Telescope has an article on astronomical computing
(page 358) that mentions the Eckert-Brouwer-Clemence method of computing
plantary positions, and also comments that this process was detailed in
Volume XII of the U.S. Naval Observatory's "Astronomical Papers" in 1951.
Anyone know where I can lay my hands on a copy of this book?  I'd settle
for anything more recent that gives a clear, concise description of how
this process is implemented on a computer (theoretical expostulations are
not of interest).
