I find it hard to believe that the opening bass note would be missing from any high-fidelity recording of Strauss's "Also Sprach Zarathustra" which was made by a reputable orchestra. On the other hand, "Also Sprach Zarathustra" is also well-known to the movie audiences as "The Theme From 2001," and there are many records around that contain various bastardizations of Strauss's music.
