Lines: 22 -- I just bought a new car and want to install a high-quality stereo system. I've already decided what kind of cassette/radio I want (the new Sony model with the diversity antenna system), but would appreciate any suggestions people could make about the following: (1) How many (and what kind of) speakers are needed for good sound quality? Is a subwoofer really worth the added expense? What are some good speakers to consider? (2) How powerful an amplifier is advisable? What are some good amplifiers? (3) Has anyone had any experience getting a stereo installed in an '84 Honda Accord hatchback? I suspect it may not be possible to install rear speakers any larger than about 6" diameter. If there's sufficient response and people are interested, I'll post a summary to net.audio. -- Dana S. Nau CSNet: dsn@umcp-cs ARPA: dsn@maryland UUCP: {seismo,allegra,brl-bmd}!umcp-cs!dsn
