Fortunately I discovered this before getting any speeding tickets -- what tipped me off was the number of cars I kept passing on the Turnpike at 55 (indicated). The problem turned out to be the wrong speedometer gear installed in the transmission. I have a 5-speed and I think the gear actually installed was the one appropriate for the 4-speed, which has a different final drive ratio. It took several trips to the dealer to get that one straight!
