Good news... A woman mechanic named Cindy (I forget her last name) works (worked?) at Marlboro Subaru in Marlboro, MA. She is competent, smart and friendly. I don't know if she is doing actual work at the dealer anymore (last time I was in there she had been promoted to Assistant Service Manager). I think she moonlights as a mechanic though since she basically just likes to work on cars. If you live around there (I don't anymore) and have been frustrated looking for an honest mechanic go over to Marlboro Subaru and see if Cindy is still there. By the way she worked on my 80 Subaru (it ran like a top the two times she adjusted the valves and did tuneups) and an 80 Skylark which *FIVE* other mechanics (including two BUICK dealers) had failed to repair properly (why didn't I take it to her in the first place?). She owns Subarus and one or more BMWs and has fixed just about every kind of car on the road. Come to think of it her last name was Erdle. -- Gary Wasserman ...harpo!inmet!grw ...hplabs!sri-unix!cca!ima!inmet!grw ...yale-comix!ima!inmet!grw
