Lines: 23 [] I once read a summary of the manufacturers of various parts on Formula 1 cars. There was variety in every single catagory, except one: brake pads. Every team on the circuit (this was early last year, I believe) used Ferodo brake pads. Is it possible that in the area of racing brake pads, one company does it exactly right, and no one else even bothers to compete? Knowing the way tire companies compete for F1 customers, I was suprised that there seemed to be no similar activity in the fast-moving (or stopping) world of brake pads. Also, I asked my local mechanic about them, and he gave me kind of a Neanderthal look, and said he'd never heard of them. Does Ferodo make passenger-car pads? What are they made of? What are the racing pads made of? Anyone know where to get them? Roger (... see you at the races ...) Webster ucbvax!trwrb!felix!roger
