Another good book is by a fellow named Bateman, I think? However, the 1st edition had a picture of a long bearded fellow on the front cover beside an orange and and white ' Condor ' bicycle ' with silver forks. These two books form the foundation of my maintenance knowledge, got me my first really interesting job, and to this day keep old friends phoning up and popping the question: "We'll Ray, you see I have this funny noise...and...and... and if you had some free time...
