(Ame'rique Je T'Aime and it may be fun to be fooled

Another vote for Pynchon, my favorite living writer. Techies should
note his (all true Pynchon fans agree) least novel, 'The Crying of
Lot 49' is set in Cuppertino or somesuch, and describes a pre-Email
network. The college was Cornell. He has enough class to bring tears
to your eyes. All fans of early Nabakov will love him. All others are
irrelevant.
