To many people are satified with dodgy pieces of software. UNIX was a step away from it, but it looks like this is no longer the case. How many "X did Y, now it doesn't" cases have we seen on the net? I know I've seen too many "enhancements" and "features". Options I can do without (cat -v considered harmful). I'll stick to power and clean design. If only there were a few more Rob Pike's...
