 We have had similar problems with DEC dz's. Perhaps the problems
are related?? Ours don't like to hang up the modems. We can kill the
processes hung but as with the DH/DM problem it takes 10 - 15 minutes
to take effect.

 Our hardware:

VAX 11/780
2 ABLE DH/DM's		(we haven't had the problem with these)
4 DEC DZ's		(only on lines connected to modems)
TU77 on TM03
2 Eagles on SI controller
1 RM03
1 COMTAL image processing system
1 Megatek 7000 series
1 Versatec V80	

 We had the problem under 4.1 and it continues with no change under 4.2.
