Would anything go wrong if after a send or receive had completed the entry
in the command (C.) file was marked (by overwriting the S by a D for example)
to show it had been done?  As far as I can tell it should be OK so long as
cntrl.c is updated to cope with a wrktype of 'D'.  Far too often a transfer
of a news article has taken place several times with just the body succeeding
to get across and then the X. file failing.  Also on transfering a collection
of files it often dies after transfering a few but currently will still have to
retransfer those it has already done.

Unless someone has good reason to believe this is a dumb idea I'm going to
try it out.  So if you believe doing this might cause uucp to crash or crash
unix or grind British Telecom to a halt please let me know.
