Sources of sopapillas (sp?) in NY/NJ area:
 
 1) El Torito near Willowbrook
 2) Chi Chi's - near Woodbridge or in E. Brunswick
 3) In city:  I haven't been to any places in New York,
    but Carumba (one uptown and in wall st. area) probably
    have them


Aside: I believe that the item described that is filled with
meat or other fillings is an empanada...
