When I was a teen ager I felt as Walt states: >"In fact, it has nothing to do with the existence of god or not. The >only thing thast I might argue is that it is a proof that your god >does not exist, for how can any being that is wholly good create the >pain, sorrow, and suffering (and other non-goods) that afflict this >world. It couldn't come from good. Therefor, your god could not have >created this world. And therefor, you're foolin' yourself." end quote As I child I saw more violence and hatred then most people see in a life time. "How can a God exist and allow it?" I tried to go to various churches, but they all seemed hypocritical. "Do on to other..." theory didn't stand. After becoming an adult, I met a person who changed my attitude and my LIFE. God is a "parent". Many refer to him as "Our Father". He has set the rules. The main idea is love. The rest would follow. Mankind has skewed up the world. Mankind kills, steals, and has set up his own rules. God, as our "Father", does as any parent would do. Tries to tell his "children" right from wrong. We, the children, have the choice. We, the children, have to pay for our own mistakes. Mankind can change the world back to where it should be. If they believe in God or not, mankind can change it. If we, 'the fooling ourselves' (as it was put by Walt) will only help it along. BUT GOD CAN'T DO IT HIMSELF. I am not saying that Walt and his thoughts are destroying this world. Remember my comments about the church hypocrites? Mankind is destroying Mankind. I just wanted to comment on his theory about blaming God for our own world as it is today.
