Btw, it has been suggested by a fellow Limey, that the success of the slogan and the whole commercial is due to the sexual innuendo in it (beef, buns, etc). I disagree. I think the great American public is slow to pick up on subliminal messages in commercials (e.g. Shasta). OK, flamers, why do you think "Where's the beef?" is sweeping the nation?
