	The thing that bothers me most about the way Christianity is
practiced is its patriarchy.  Ever since the Christians came stomping
through Europe and tromping on the pagans (whose society actually held
that women were actually as human as men), Western civilization has
been trapped in a patriarchical mindset that's bringing our globe to
the brink of destruction.
	All this "God the Father" stuff is ridiculous, and it's led to
things like "God is above man, just as man is above woman."  In fact,
I think a statement like that is in one of the Corinthians, along with
statements about men not having long hair, women wearing hats, and so
forth.
	I'm sorry, but humans just don't work like that.  Women are
just as human as men.  The last thing we need in a world that desper-
ately needs the values and roles that men have scorned and cast aside
for "the lesser sex" is a religion that tells us that patriarchy is
the way to go.
