I am no longer able to tell conjecture from well-founded opinion in the copyright BS that has been flying. Can someone knowledgable (preferably a lawyer with some experience in copyright law) give us an opinion or two??? I realize that one can distribute copies of one's work and retain copyright. I do not believe for 1 usec that the courts have ever examined the relationship between copyright and this net (tho they may end up doing so soon, I fear!) The net has a very interesting characteristic, namely that once you throw material into it, the material gets copied automatically, as a consequence of the very nature of the net. I question whether one can do this and simultaneously retain ALL RIGHTS to the submitted work. (I DO know enough to realize that there are many rights covered under copyright.) -- Relax - don't worry - have a homebrew. {hao, ucbvax, allegra}!nbires!rcd
