The clitorsis (sp) is not an actual part of the reproduction center, but is merely a center of eroticism for females. As a point in this, in more primitive times the newly-born females in Africa would have a "clitorsisidectomy" which would render them without this center for female eroticism. This was thought to make the female less interested in the sexual act due to the only resulting feeling being a backache. And therefor more faithful. I read about this in an article talking about problems they were having in France with French-African citizens practicing this in the home since it is illegal. By the way, the operation is performed at birth. Interesting little trivia but I wouldn't tell it at the local singles joint.
