Sigh. I'd appreciate hearing people's opinions the following: as a notes
user, I have the choice of either responding to the note and thereby risking
flames about not using net.followup/net.gesornenplatz (where the original
note may have "really" belonged), or posting a note in net.zot and making
news readers happy while breaking the association between notes that makes
notes sufficiently superior to news that it's not a source of humor.

So which do *you* think notes users should do?
