Bet he did! Saying that the words are the only important part is blatently wrong. Classical arrangements and modern instrumentals are copyrighted. To use music in the background of a production add requires even higher royalties to be paid to the licensee. There are music companies that produced canned "production" music that has the sole intent to be licensed as backgrounds to commercials. -Ron
