   Yes, you can confuse a monster by throwing something at it.  I discovered

it while trying to save my red hands for a more important monster than the

bat that was in the room with me.  So I wielded by bow and threw an arrow at

the bat.  It hit home and sure enough, the bat was confused (although many of

them seem naturally confused [a natural high]).
