This behavior is a BUG and has absolutely nothing to do with
the fact that you may also be hallucinating.  All you have to
do is get between an orc and a hunk of gold and rest until
he hops on your back.  This "feature" was brought up in this
same news group about two or three months back.  Its behavior
is regular and well-mis-defined.

The interesting thing is that, with the orc on your back, you
can carry the him to the gold.  However, when you step on the
gold, the rogue gets the gold and the orc gives up his transportation.
