You drank some LSD (potion of hallucination), it lasts for approx. 250 
turns in version 5.3, and can be cured by drinking a potion of extra-
healing. Personally I drink them on lower levels to liven up the game. 
By the time I get deeper, it has worn off. Be warned, some of the messages
for identifying potions are changed (consistently).
