I suggest you read an old copy of CRAZY magazine (in the early issues,
before #10, when it was funny 60% of the time); there they have the
"Adventures of CASPER, the Dead Baby."  It explains that Casper's stepdad,
in a family spat, knocked off Casper's mom to get the insurance money, and
then bumped off Casper.  It concluded with the old EC-style revenge theme
(as you would find in the classic "Vault of Horror" or some such) where
Casper and Wendy (the "Good little witch"?) off Casper's stepdad in a way
that John Carpenter would approve of.  I can get the issue number if you'd
like.
