Lines: 12 I have received several pieces of mail with embedded control characters. Specifically, I have received nroff output with underlining. Somewhere along the way, the backspace code gets translated into the characters '^' and 'H', to make the control code readable. The result is that the entire mail message is a mess. Please filter such items through "col -b" before mailing to get rid of these control characters. Thanks. -- Chip Rosenthal, Intel/Santa Clara {pur-ee|hplabs|ucbvax!amd70|ogcvax!omsvax}!intelca!t4test!{chip|news}
